Post-Christmas Sales

I have managed to avoid the sales thus far, limiting my browsing only to the internet. I agree with the people who say that the sales only make you buy things you never normally would, and will never use only because it looks like the best bargain ever BUT....since my mission in 2012 is to read the complete Discworld series I could hardly resist buying the Watch series books for a mere £9.99, a saving of £45.65.

I have been trying to decide whether it's worth it or to cancel it because I like my series in cover matching order and I read in date of publication order too....so I've just cancelled it and put the temporary purchase down to a moment of madness.

I must say, the online sales have been a bit wick, but then I rarely shop for anything other than books and since they're so cheap on the internet anyway...Perhaps I will look for some socks. I am so enamoured by my vegetable ones from the Lovely Linda of Hey Homewrecker! blog.

I'm off to indulge in some Doritos and chocolate whilst watching Eastenders. *munch*

The Photographic Evidence

Eek Presents!

Pen gets started. She got a couple of toys this year and had them wrecked within 10 minutes.

Della got some cat nip toys and a socking with 'luxury' food pouches.

But most of all, I love this golden mouse with eyelashes. How cool is this. Della hasn't shown any interest so far so might have to nick it off her.

Christmas has been good this year, I'm enjoying the festivities big time. I got three Daniel Clowes' graphic novels and 'The Faggiest Vampire' by Carlton Mellick III. New wellies, awesome vegetable socks and amazing skull jewellery. I love skulls so this made my day! Awesome. More photos later.

Christmas Day!

The day has finally arrived. I took myself off to bed at 10pm last night to watch a film and hopefully get a good sleep but despite being older now I still got too excited. Woke at 7 to feed the cat and dog and then I started to feel tired and of course then everybody was awake.

Santa and friends were so generous this year. Got a lovely furry blanket which I'm currently under (big blanket fan) and lots of Daniel Clowes books (YAY!) and Brambly Hedge! Already munched my way through a box of maltesers and now on the energy drinks.

Happy Holidays!

'Tis the Season to be jolly..

Christmas day is looming and I couldn't be more excited. Even Penny is in on it:

I haven't got a Christmas Tree in my room this year but I lent Andrew my sole fairy for his tree:

and as his tree was looking a little bare I bought him this:

Paperchase had some brilliant tree decorations but unfortunately I have a serious phobia of glitter and had to avoid them. Glitter is not the best thing to have a phobia of. Even trying to buy Christmas cards that were free from glitter was a nightmare. It's on everything and everyone and it makes me feel very nervous. When I rule the world glitter will be completely and utterly banned. I'd rather play in a leaking nuclear plant.

Hope everybody is almost ready to celebrate the JOYS OF CHRISTMAS *shrieks*

You can never have enough bling

Today I went into town with Mum to pick up my 30th birthday present and another ring that I'd sent off for replacement. Bling.

I am loving them. The snake ring is gorgeous but a little prone to losing the odd stone. The skull ring is a pure knuckle duster so don't get gobby with me.

On an even better note I received an email on Thursday evening from my new boss to say I am starting my new job on Monday! Cue panic clothes buying. Just need to get my shoes polished the 'old way' by Dad and I'm set to go.

I called into Stray Jewellery (best shop in town) and bought a plush mobile holder for my new desk:

I'll be calling into Stray again soon to pick up photo holders, pens and pen bins and everything else in there. Best shop. I swear. I am mad about kawaii toys and this shop sells just enough to satisfy my obsession.

Now it's time to go and faff. I only have precious few hours left before my early morning start on Monday.
